In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.
Kiwanis Bicycling Education Programs
teaching kids responsible bike ownership, repairing used bikes for donation and resale, and giving refurbished bikes to youth organizations.
Community Outreach
reaching out to the community by providing books (Community Bookshelf), planning and participating in family-centric events (Family Nights, community events around town), and keeping our parks clean (Adopt-a-Park)
Sparks Heritage Museum
supporting the museum through historic preservation of photos, supporting the education programs for children, volunteering weekly, and more
PTP Dolls for Renown Hospital Pediatric ER and Pediatric ward and St. Mary's Hospital Pediatric ward
hand-sewing approximately 100 dolls a month which are donated to Renown Children’s Hospital.
Pedestrian Safety Program
focusing on younger children teaching safe walking practices through fun activities at safety events for pre-schools and community safety fairs
Service Leadership Programs
developing a sense of service through KEY Clubs and Builders Clubs for high school and middle school youth and AKTION Club for young adults with disabilities
International Programs
fundraising to support Kiwanis International's ELIMINATE program and other international needs through Kiwanis International Foundation and CalNevHa Foundation
